Life:space architecture designed a contemporary house extension to a 1950’s dwelling in a village setting, south of Winchester.
The extension provides a new entrance hall and large living room. The living space is rotated to face the garden, with access provided via floor to ceiling glass doors. These provide huge amounts of natural daylight and create a dramatic modern feel to the room. Interior finishes were specified to a high standard, with quality fittings, oak flooring and recessed lighting.
The exterior of the extension is clad in a mixture of white render and solid oak boarding, natural materials used in a contemporary way.
Completed in 2008.
